North American Hockey Academy
The North American Hockey Academy is an elite hockey school for young women grades 8-12 based in Stowe, Vermont. The program competes in USA Hockey Tier I and CHA Intermediate AA competition. NAHA has produced several USA Hockey Olympic athletes and a majority of their graduates go on to play Division 1 college hockey. NAHA approached me to design vehicle graphics for their four transport vans used for local travel. After we got into the creative process, we discovered that what they really wanted was a professional logo identity to shore up their brand. I developed a logo / brand that accomplished the following:
maintain recognition with their 17 year identity
design a system that could work in B&W, color and at any size for all of the applications required, from stadium signage to website icons
convey strength, confidence and professionalism

Vehicle Graphics
The vehicle graphics exploration began with their previous logo identity, using the original winter hawk bird with the sun logo and variations of the Demonize typeface. The exploration of vehicle graphics ultimately led to the new logo brand and design system.
